Hey guys! Here are my favorite entries for our color contest--and the contenders for our new Signature colors! (A quick note: I didn't expect so many people to suggest a shade of lilac! So I went with the most creatively-described shades. Apologies if yours wasn't chosen.) Without further ado...here they are!
Hey everyone! Sorry, I know I've been terrible about keeping up this blog. I'll try to do better in future, and keep you updated on Twitter. For now: May's Color of the Month, Warm Rain, is now available! It's a beautiful bright blue with lots of shimmer and a golden sheen, very unusual and stunning. I wore it all over today (out shopping--I drove around for nine hours! Whew!) and got compliments everywhere I went. It looks fantastic with any eye color, and it's nice and opaque, so it complements all skin tones.
Also, in case you haven't been keeping up with the front page, I recently graduated college and moved out of my apartment. This was exciting, but took a LOT of time and effort, and unfortunately delayed a handful of orders by a week or two. But everything should be sent out now, and I'll now be filling orders in a lovely, organized office space instead of a cramped apartment! Hooray!
With that in mind...I've been thinking it's time for some more Signature colors. I'd love to bring our number up to 30 or even 35. The problem is, I don't know what colors you all think we need! So I think it's time for another Color Contest. Send me your ideas for a color--what you think it should look like, maybe an inspiration photo, and a name if you'd like--by Monday, June 1. I'll pick my favorites to put to a vote, and then let the people choose their new colors! The five winners (assuming we get enough entries) will each get three jars of their newly created color, plus two other shadows and a gloss of their choice, and their name immortalized in Etsy fame! Email 'em to luirecosmetics@gmail.com. Be creative and have fun! But please don't steal from other makeup sellers. Luire is all about originality.

February's color of the month, Oil Spill, is now available through March 15! (And until tomorrow, you can score it as part of our sale--so what are you waiting for?)
Also, Luire brushes will be available within a few weeks. We're starting with one style to see if it goes over well; if it does, we'll add more! Keep your eyes open :)
Hey everyone! Some more changes are coming to Luire--and these are big ones. First, we'll now be offering monthly Limited Edition colors! These unique shadows and glosses are only available during their specific month, and once it's over, they're gone. We'll also be offering a subscription service--each month, you'll receive the Color of the Month before it's even available in the store, along with some special goodies!
These should be arriving later this week. Since February is already halfway over, February's color of the month will overlap with March's by two weeks. We'll keep you posted when they arrive!
Also, we're considering stocking a few eyeshadow brushes in the store. Does this sound like a good idea, or no?

It's officially December--time for hot apple cider and mulled wine, cuddling in front of the fireplace and flinging snowballs. Here at Luire headquarters the snow is falling, and hey, if I can't get to my car, I can stay inside and come up with hot new shades of makeup, right?
Exciting things are coming for Luire in the next few weeks. Kits will be coming in the next few days, giftwrapped in silk and ready for your giving pleasure. We should have colors available in 10g sizes for the first time as well. And most exciting of all--we're rolling out a whopping ten new Signature colors very soon, and I wanted to give you all a sneak peek!
